To tackle global climate change, countries need to implement key measures that ensure reducing carbon di-oxide emission. However, this will be a huge challenge for developing countries, as they also need to develop industries (thus increase energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission) and create more jobs for their ever increasing working youths and eradicate poverty.
What alternative or reconciliatory measures should be taken to tackle this paradox?
Now it is all about smart industrialization. Developing countries can skip few steps and directly work on developing sustainable environment. This itself can be nurtured as an industry and in turn boost employment.
For example, support hybrid and Electric vehicles, have the existing vehicles retrofitted with advance control technologies to reduce emissions. this will actually induce more tech jobs, as well as reduce environmental impact. Like this we can look into all the problems from financial & sustainable angle and work towards a better future together.
Graph of UAH v6.0 temperatures shows that the temperature uptrend ended in about 2002-2005. Comparison with TPW (water vapor) and CO2 demonstrates what has been driving average global temperature. Apparently, in spite of it being a ghg, CO2 has little if any effect on average global temperature and therefore no significant effect on climate.
Water vapor has increased about twice as much as calculated from temperature increase of liquid surface water. Both changed slope trend from up to flat about 2002-2005 interrupted by el Nino which peaked in Jan 2016. Both are still in downtrend. Global Warming appears to be over. Is all that snow/rain just bad weather or has increased water vapor contributed?
Dan Pangburn In the current scenario, water vapor plays a dominant role in Global warming followed by CO2, because of its high heat carrying capacity compared to CO2 and other GHG's. But, prior to this condition (especially until 2008), CO2 was considered the Number 1 GHG. It is true as well. However, water vapor was not supposed to be a GHG, but increase in temperatures over the last century due to uncontrolled CO2 emissions in the name of industrialization has resulted in the increase of water vapor in the atmosphere, thus forcing it to be the Uno in GHGs, than CO2 itself.
I agree with the issue of water vapor. However, especially in developing countries, governments fail miserably in carbon sinks. Countries need to invest more in carbon banks forests, grasslands, wetlands and farms.
Liquid surface water temperature increase forces more water vapor into the air but measurements and calculations show that the increase in WV is about twice expected from T increase alone (Section 8 of http://globalclimatedrivers2.blogspot.com ). The combination of factors considered there produces a match of 98.3% with measured T 1895-2017. The WV increase correlates with irrigation increase.
From my view, use of alternative eco-friendly fuels produced from unused and waste materials can solve this problem.
Proof AGW theory & IPCC are wrong has been hiding in plain sight. Demonstrated by ‘notch’ in TOA radiation measurements, energy absorbed by CO2 molecules is thermalized and much of it is redirected to water vapor molecules.
