I am designing a scheme for authentication and access control in iot home automation.
I want to evaluate my algorithm against security threads and compare it with other solutions , check Power consumption and computation complexity.
Do I need Simulation or Emulation?
and which tools is the best choice for each one?

I would also recommend you use NetSim. And for emulation you can interface it with IOT devices like a raspberry PI.

If you decide to execute experiments using real devices (emulation).
