To some questions asked there is an endless thread of answers some repeating what already has been said sometimes several times before and some just making a use- and sensless statement on their personal feelings "like very good question". When I ask a question I expect a peoper answer and after a time all is said what has too be said, but some threads seem to inhabit the features of an "undead". What about RG installs a key "End", where the questioner can terminate the tread if he/she is satisfied?
My thought is to start voting those answers down whenever you see one.
That certainly helps, but I still think as a responsibility for the questioner he/she should be able to cease the thread when satisfied. Its avoiding "brain(less) trash".
This one is a notorious example "What is the best way to increase RG score" running now since 2 years with endless mostly bland new emtries nearly every day, a real example for an "undead"!
It looks so. Knowledge is not a closed box and can be always improved, but the person who made the question or any participant could always ask/introduce a new RG question in the sequence of the closed discussion.

Making questions was never difficult for me, Dear Ivo. Is good to know that you “have never found any "stupid" question or "ignorant" answers in RG”, at least by now. Also, I give you my congratulations for the apparent great quality of all your questions and answers.

However, as far as I understood, the original question of this discussion has nothing to do with the quality and validity of the contents of the RG questions, with pedagogy, or with research supervision. Please read the question again, and the answers that were given before your participation. Although it is quite ok to be curious, But facing some of the questions, it appears they are asked for the sake of it! and many of the responses to such aren't different either! and repetitive answers over and over! Almost like Q/A is a way of life!
There is a 100% effective way to regulate the compulsive Q/A syndrome - Just detach the upvote or downvote for Q/A an instead give upvote or downvote for publications - comments & feedbacks!
( atleast the feedbacks would be something relevant to the subject / topic) & (you have to read and understand the publication to like it or to leave a feedback) wont be as easy as it is now!

Finally I agree with you in something, when you say that I am fully correct, dear Ivo. Thank you for confirming that something is perturbing you. I agree with Ewald Schnug that the questioner “should be able to cease the thread when satisfied.” Otherwise he/she cannot avoid for example also the proliferation of eventual answers out of the context of the intended discussion.
