My answer is yes. Environmental education and relevant policies should play a crucial role regarding awareness and responsibility of present and future generations for managing natural resources and protecting the environment, not only in theory, before it's too late.

I think that it's very interesting to have environmental education at school, but not only for one course, but must be taken by the administration and profossors as a philosophy

Wow! As an environmental educator I find this as a great move. We do it here in Kenya just receiving school groups and teaching them the facets of conservation

Sure, I believe that training the children is the most effective way to protect the environment. First of all they should be train to change their lifestyle and avoid over-using (or materialistic lifestyle). This can decrease the waste production and save the resources. Second, we have to encourage the children to re-use the products and do not send them to garbage. Finally, we should encourage them to sort the wastes (if they are not be re-usable) and send them for recycling plants rather than landfills.

Certainly, this is high time younger generation must understand the probable impact of variability in the climatic issues. The surroundings influenced by different factors operating around it. we all part of environment and cause of its pollution, purification and destruction. therefore, environmental education need of hours. it should be promoted.

In India, the Supreme Court made a great leap by mandating the University Grants Commission to introduce environmental education as a core component in undergraduate courses. This has been implemented all over India. In our university, Environmental Studies is a stand-alone but compulsory subject for all students in the fourth semester course.

There are also inclusion in the curricula as chapters in secondary and senior secondary levels. So, as far as awareness education is concerned, students are well informed. But living up to the messages of the education is a matter of unpredictable situation.

Certainly, the scope of environmental education in schools should be increased as it serves as the basic level of learning. By doing so, the young children become more aware of environmental protection and various related issues. I believe many global countries, including India, are well aware of importance of environmental education and have taken adequate measures to ensure its adequate teaching at school-level.

The scope of environmental education should be increased at all levels education inclusive of school education. It is essential for future generations to aware of environment concerns to enable then to safeguard it in all its components. Remember, the survival of human race depends on environment self. Correctly said, how can be ignore its importance ? Thus we must educate younger generations about this issue of utmost priority.

Yes emphasis on environmental education should be given in school level as there are some people may discontinue there education after school level particularly in developing countries so everybody should get a basic knowledge of awareness about the environment in school level itself

Environmental education should not only be confined to 'educated people' (schools or at other levels.

It is more more important to educate all (even uneducated people) about important of this essential issue.

I believe that people in rural areas ( villages ) realise real importance of environment that those living

in cities (with utmost disregard for overall environment except for personal environment).

In India, environmental education, environmental awarness has been introduced in the curriculam of primary school level onwards. Not only curricular but cocurricular activities on environmental awarness also has been introduced from primary to higher education level.

Before sharing my modest answer about such a great and highly educational question, I would like to thank you so much for the great - but, at the same time - very delicate and crucial theme dealt with.

As far as my position, I am strongly convinced that Environmental Educational should be one of the key-stones to be offered to the young minds (and not only), because developing a Conscious Critical Ability towards the environmental issues and problems, that afflict our planet, can work in a really strategic way to sensitization and consequent responsibility of the current and future generations.

Thus, Environmental Education should work in order to transfer and educate everyone to respect the environment and its services now and in the future: shortly, this view can be defined as the first step to reach a Sustainability-based Approach able to guarantee sources and resources to everyone.
