I am doing a research project at a hospital, and the goal is to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention.

So far, I have identified the groups of employees with the highest intended turnover rates, and the lowest job satisfaction rates, and why this is. This was using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Thus, I have many satisfaction-related variables that are significantly correlated with either turnover intention or overall job satisfaction.

Now, I am looking to investigate how job satisfaction levels relate to turnover intentions. I have done correlation coefficient calculations for overall job satisfaction against turnover intention already, but now what?

I have thought about looking at which job satisfaction variables are significantly related with both turnover intention and overall job satisfaction. And I have also thought about using multiple regression analysis to look at individual and collective power to predict the dependent variables.

I would love to hear some suggestions regarding what people think should be the next course of action to continue this analysis. Criticisms of what I have done so far are also welcome :)

Thanks.
