Can we connect Shimadzu/ Agilent Refractive index detector to Waters HPLC system? Would like to know the compatibility issues.

do you use a Waters LC/MS or only LC-system? For LC/MS-systems (MS= ZQ or SQD) you have the opportunity to connect an analog detector signal with the analog input of the ZQ or SQD. The analog signals are then recorded as additional detector signals during the run. It is not possible to control the analog detectors via MassLynx or Empower. You have to do this manually via the detector display.

You should speak with your service vendor as there could be software issues and other faults might start to appear.

No problems with ADC card. You should look for the proper output and input voltages.
