Shear Deflection in 4PB tests

Dear Friends,

I have attached a "last" note on the shear deflection in a 4PB test. I should have written it years ago. The contribution of the shear deflection Vs to the total deflection Vt is small and often ignored in the back calculation procedures. But I think diving deeper into the back calculation procedures was worthwhile.

Which reagent is best among 'Dimethylglyoxime" and "Dithiothreitol" for spectroscopic determination of Nickel ?

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
