Many of us are now using cameratrapping all over the forests, for many purposes. Most of time, we all collect (I guess) an extraordinary amount of informations what are out of our scopes. But what could be usefull for someone somewhere ... Related to my experience in French Guiana, I'm thinking about a Monodelphis making a nest, a 45 min long sequence of 8 bushdogs bathing, grooming, a vampire "running" after a Priodontes, a baby Myrmecophaga digging with his mother .. among many others, all sleeping in computers.
Is there any webplatform that could allow to share those "moments of cryptic life" ? A journal where we could depose such thousands of anecdotal behaviors ?
Maybe something to propose, create ?

I have also thousand of mammals and birds photo captures in Northern Quebec region. We should share all these to increase field observations. If not, they would disappear in our computers and that's a real shame.

Mariano J. Feldman good suggestion as the observations on iNaturalist feed into other datasets (ie ALA, GBIF), but the videos have to be hosted somewhere (ie YouTube, Flickr).

Johannes Lang that is an excellent option! I was not aware of that awesome project. However, I believe wildlifeinsights.org is not still ready for storing videos. But it´s coming from what I read.
Benoit the video article from Journal of Ethology could be a good home for some interesting data you have. As a suggestion, you could write to some researchers using camera traps and see what interesting data could be pooled together in one or more papers... It is always good to improve our network of collaborations. I am open to think about interesting data/papers from secondary data collected from camera traps.
yes sure Fernanda ! but time is running, and so many things in course ... So the idea were (is !) to share, to make visible, and the one who will have time, who will have interest in one or one other behavior, then could find it easily and could take advantage.
It would be great to have a platform for rare animal behavior events that is global, easily accessible and free of charge. Very rarely detected by people in the field, camera traps would likely be prime witnesses to these events, which are not often published and are difficult to share because they are generally footage-heavy videos. A YouTube channel is perhaps a good start.
Benoit de Thoisy what about organizing some "public" viewing in a live platform. I would love to see those videos. I know of something similar with sounds from different ecosystems, just live reproduction of the microphones on line.
