We have isolated 50 multidrug-resistant APEC strains from poultry farms across Plateau, Enugu, and Bauchi States (Nigeria) – nearly all resistant to multiple antibiotics per CLSI standards.

We are now seeking collaboration for molecular and whole-genome characterization to uncover the resistance and virulence genes behind these strains.
