scope of biotechnology

hai can any one help me ,,,...am 2nd year biotech student....am intrested in genetics...so i selected my elective "animal and plant biotechnology""...can any one say is there any scope for biotechnology...give me some ideas regarding what can i do after my final year..THANK YOU..:)
