Dear reaseachers,

I have a critical question about Cellulose Nanofiber (CNF) sample preparation for XRD.

If I have Cellulose Nanofiber suspension (~ 98-99% water), is it true to use the same suspention (liquid) for XRD analysis or it should be dried (freeze drying or something else)?

If it must be dried (e.g. freeze-dried), then it must be well-powdered? "Because if I don't make it powdered, ==> the ups and downs parts of freeze-dried suspension surface (the roughness and waves) (foam-like), make error in XRD analysis".

I'd appreciate it if you could guide me.
