I have tried to find published data on the sale of commercially available exhausted (spent) material, i.e., the sale of an ingredient that has been depleted of a group of moleculeds of interest but was sold as genuine full spectrum material. From converdsations with industry members, I have been told that such practices occur, particularly with essential oil containing ingredients, e.g., cinnamon, clove, etc, or with materials containing pungent compounds such as ginger and paprika. let me know if you have data to support such practicese in the herbal medicine trade.
