I am simply looking for a website that will allow generating a graphical map of a prokaryote chromosome (>4Mb) or large plasmid from a Genbank reference number. Any suggestions very much appreciated.
Those are linear graphs of the genome and annotations (genes, predicted genes, and other annotated features).
There are many genome browsers such as Artemis which can also be used. And there are many circular graphics generators such as discussed here:
https://www.biostars.org/p/9168/
and you may also be interested in tools that compare one genome to many other related genomes even if they have genomic re-organizations. BRIG (BLAST Ring Image Generator) is one of those.
Thanks! I am interested about graphic map generator of publication quality to map Genbank annotations and combined it with RNAseq expression data in two experimental conditions (i.e. fold change). We'll check the Biostars!
