Hello,
I would like to know the rotation speeds of the galaxies NGC 4984, NGC 4378, NGC 3145, NGC 1620, and NGC 7664.
Can you provide me with information on the angular or linear rotation speeds of these galaxies or some of them? I am interested in any observed measurements or available estimates.

Detailed studies of the rotation speeds of numerous galaxies have been carried out for decades; it is those studies that have shown that almost all galaxies appear to have masses about 10 times larger than what you would expect from their visible stars, leading to the concept of "dark matter", and the realization that most galaxies are much larger than that fraction of their true size based on their visible appearance (that is, the existence of extended "halos"). Where you would go for information about rotation rates for a given galaxy is another matter; but if you do an online search for "galaxy rotation speed" you should be able to find out who is working on such measurements, and contacting them would be the best way to find out if there are measurements for the galaxies you are interested in. (The NASA Extragalactic Database (NED) has tons of information about many things, and I'm pretty certain that measured rotational speeds are available for a significant minority of galaxies in that database. But whether they would have such information for 'your' galaxies is another matter.)
