For a project, I have been performing silanization the last few months (different silanes, dry toluene, 25°C, 2 days, on borosilicate) and I could obtain smooth silane layer that were stable in water for weeks and non removed via surfactants wahings steps. Though lately, my silanization is forming aggregates, seems weaker and gets removed with surfactants washing.

Do you have any suggestion to obtain repoducible and stable silane coatings?
