When we embed some data in an image, and add salt and pepper noise to the image. Then, even we remove the noise also it is still difficult to retrieve the exact original image. Then, can we say all the methods are exposed to salt and pepper noise or what..Kindly someone explain me...How do we check for robustness of any method to salt and pepper noise

Actually, I wanted to know when we apply Salt and pepper noise to our stego-image then the secret information will be lost. Then, in that case can we assume that all no image steganographic method is robust against Salt and pepper noise..
I see, it is straightforward, try to retrieve the embedded data and compare it with the initial message (payload), if the payload is itself an image then you can resort to using distortion metrics such as PSNR or alike. I believe, there are algorithms out there that maintain good quality of retrieved data despite S&P noise.
If you apply a reversible embedding algorithm, you will be able to reconstruct your original image, i.e., the cover image. Otherwise, you cannot expect the original image.
