Sometimes, researches are divided into exploratory, explanatory, descriptive and evaluation researches. Some books consider these as research types based on objectives of researches while others name as research designs. Thus, can anyone explain this please ?
Depends upon the reference you are using.. only McNab says these are research designs, however, a number of references including Bryman say these are research Types.. So better use them as Types. Because designs include Cross-Sectional, Loitudnal, Experimental, Case Study, etc.
