Research with two different theories paradigm ?

I'm working on a dissertation. The problem is I try to close the facts of research with two different theories paradigm. The only classic paradigm, and other modern paradigms. Could it be done like that ?. Although I do not intend to test the theory because it uses a qualitative approach. Thank you
