What are some good topics to do research in the area of Bio-statistics? I'm interested in some topics which will give some impact to the society, like some challenges India faces now which can be solved through the application of Data and Bio-Statistics.
There are many topics, depends on your specific interest. Anyway, I could suggest the pesticide topic, because it has impact on human society, animals and the environment, and one approach could be use Big Data.

I agree with Roberto Molteni. I would suggest you topic concerning epidemiology and/or spread of diseases in association with spatio-temporal population trend in your country.
I agree with Roberto and Dimitrios. In my experience, the dataset for human biomonitoring could be the area of bio-statastics. Biomonitoring data is the direct measurement of people's exposure to toxic substances in the environment. For instance, many of association studies were reported based on statistical analysis between a chemical concentrations and some target molecule or exposure factor (e.g. demographic, lifestyle, food consumption, inhalation) that is measured in the human.

I would like to be a program that would allow us to calculate the state of health or conservation of natural marine or terrestrial ecosystems, taking into account abiotic (space-time) and biotic (diversity, phylogeny and co-occurrence or assemblies of communities).
