I am highly interested to do a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, could any one suggest me which would be the challenging field in the coming future, and any ideas on the research projects related to Computer Vision, Machine learning, and Neural Networks sectors.

.I can write correct, compelling, mathematical proofs today because I have studied and practiced the principles of mathematical proof with the help of teachers that could convey the principles in a way that succinctly explains how they work. I did not buy countless textbooks and submit them to a CNN video card to identify recurring text (which is meaningless without explanation from another knowledgeable person). Knowledge has structure that can be conveyed from one person to another based on a framework of facts and logic.
Today it is clearly possible to create a domain specific formal language with formal rules of logic that enable machines to solve problems within that domain.
For example, it is possible to create a domain specific formal language for sequencing work within an automated factory. (no machine learning required). It is possible to create a domain specific formal language for molecular folding (under specific conditions) no machine learning required. More interesting, it is possible to create a domain specific formal language for orbital rendezvous (and later separation and reentry) no machine learning required. And last, as a reminder, domain specific formal languages have been employed for decades and centuries in manufacturing, agriculture, and many other disciplines. This should not be confused with "expert systems" as implemented 30 or 40 years ago, that failed to constitute a formal language and logic structure.
