Agro ecological practices such as crop diversification, intercropping, agroforestry, mixed crop-livestock systems, soil management measures, and farmer-to-farmer networks have been reported to have positive food security and nutrition outcomes.
In Brazil, our research group is proposing an Agroecological Territorial System for traditional communities from Fundo de Pasto, present for more than 200 years in the state of Bahia. The idea is to advance towards making this proposition a public policy.
