What do you think about impact Factor indicator metric removing from all RG platform that starts from last week, bellow the mail responce of RG staff??????

We no longer display journal metrics, like the Impact Factor, as they don't provide a reliable indication of the quality of any individual article or researcher published in the journal. Instead, we show your H-index and RG score, which take your individual contributions into account. We are also looking into improving these publication- and author-level metrics in order to better represent exactly how influential your research is.

it is clear that any decision without consultation is a bad decision. However, the information given by the total IF is no information on the quality of the researcher. I think the assessment statistic is quite sufficient, and ResearchGATE should keep IF by scientific journal.
The research metric quality of any researcher are many (H-index, H10-index, number of publication, number of all citations, average citations per article, RG score.....), and also the total impact points of researcher are one of these metrics,
the question is why RG remove only Impact point??? I think they have to do a survey before doing it, becauce we see alot of updating at hard frequency in recent months without taking into account the opinion of users
Removing any metric was not the right choice! I would prefer to see all available metrics on RG plus the available references discussing the value and misuse of certain metrics in various contexts. Each research facility, researcher etc should be able to decide which metric is importance in a certain context. We all like to see the temperature outside, although the wind chill factor better resemble how cold it feels outside (http://www.csgnetwork.com/windchillcalc.html).
