If you have solid, try washing with acetone or ACN, it should take away succinimide.

You can use acetic acid as solvent. Succinimide don't solubile in acetic acid.

The article in the link below deals with the solubility of succinimide in organic solvents. There you can find perhaps a suitable solvent which does not solve your product. Methanol of ethanol would be possible but perhaps your product is also soluble in alcohols. Also mixtures of methanol and ethylacetate could help.
