The journal “Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research” ISSN: 2349-5162 (https://www.jetir.org/ ) is mentioned in the stand-alone version of the Beall’s list (https://beallslist.net/standalone-journals/) under the name “International Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research (JETIR)”. This indicates that the journal is potentially predatory. There are more red flags:
-Indexing info https://www.jetir.org/indexingfb.php mentions DRJI a so-called misleading metric (https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/) often used by predatory journals
-It mentions ResearchID Thomson Reuters misleadingly suggesting a link to Thomson Reuters indexing (which is by the way outdated since nowadays it is Clarivate)
-Use of DOIONE which has nothing to do with the real DOI
-Promising a few days between receiving and publishing a paper, basically this proofs there is no (serious) peer review
-Prominently mentioning of an impact factor (while they are not indexed in Clarivate’s SCIE so they have NO impact factor)
