It seems that (n,xn) reactions in a particular problem where suppressed when running on mode n compared to mode n p!
In my opinion neutron reaction rates for different modes (n p and n) should be equal otherwise
1. Error in initial data
2. Photodisintegration reaction is not equal to 0 (It happens if D or Be is in material composition)
Apparently the difference comes from the fact that photons produced by neutrons are sampled first and that affects the sequence of random numbers used in the history. in mode n p the photon is sampled then the neutron history continues while in mode n the neutron history continues. That results in a difference in the events of the same neutron history in those two modes as examined by producing a ptrac output for the same histories in both modes.
