After performing a FTIR test with lime-treated bitumen I am observing the transmittance was reached up to - 40% is that an anomaly. How to understand this behavior of spectra?

The "FTIR test" is a very broad concept, describe in detail, what technique, on what types of samples you get the spectra.
It's hard to answer without knowing the measurement conditions. Was the spectrum measured by ATR or transmission technique? The transmittance is a measure of the decrease in the intensity of the radiation, therefore it cannot be negative. Check that the background was measured correctly. If you used the pellet technique, use a smaller amount of sample.

ATR-FTIR was used to measure the spectra. Even at the 2nd trial also spectra were showing the same results. Here bitumen was mixed with Tetrahydrofuran(THF) solution.
