I am working on conjugated mPEG polymer and want to purify my product by precipitation followed to recrystallization (in isopropanol). I put 200ml of hot solvent (close to his boiling point=70-80°C) in my solid (polymers) and stirring it. I obtained a clear solution. Then I cooled it down at RT and put it in ice bath. Problem is a don't have crystals but precipitate and my solution is trouble.
Do you have some ideas or advice regarding my procedure ?

It seems that your recrystallization process did not work as expected. The problem could be due to several reasons such as impurities in your polymer, incorrect solvent choice, or incorrect cooling rate (Polymer crystallization rate challenges....).
You can try to optimize your recrystallization process by changing the solvent or adding a co-solvent. You can also try to increase the cooling rate by using a more concentrated solution or by using a different cooling method (Polymer crystallization rate challenges...).
If you are still having trouble with your recrystallization process, you can try other purification methods such as column chromatography or dialysis (Polymer crystallization rate challenges.....).

I would suggest trying the procedure again with a smaller amount of solvent, slowing down the cooling rate, reducing the stirring speed, and ensuring that the polymer is fully purified before starting the precipitation and recrystallization process. Additionally, you may want to try using a different solvent or adjusting the temperature and cooling rate to find the optimal conditions for your particular polymer.
