Hello everyone,
I am looking for recommendations for qualitative analysis software. I have a tight budget, and I am doing the coding on my own. I ensure validity by conducting additional test coding after an interval. I completed the initial phase earlier and am now revising my codes and subcategories.
I've already done quite a bit of manual coding, which leads to my second question: Is it reasonable to start using software after having done so much work manually?
My approach is concept-driven, with major categories based on previous knowledge and subcategories derived from my data. I have read that Atlas.ti is better suited for grounded theory, which is not the case in my analysis. While I've found NVivo to be highly regarded, it is too expensive for me. I watched a couple of tutorials on Quirkos, and it seems both useful for my analysis and more affordable.
I would appreciate any thoughts, insights, or experiences you may have regarding the software mentioned or the questions I posed.
Thank you in advance!
Best wishes
