I have a standard that will calibrate to 0.0244° uncertainty.
I need to calibrate a device that has a stated accuracy of ±0.05° at 37°C.
We need to maintain that accuracy and a 4:1 (or greater) accuracy.
Guard-banding has always been a weak point for me.
Can someone help me out with the precise formula for calculating this.
I can calibrate to ±0.02° while keeping ±0.05° accuracy, which would then compensate, but would like to do the actual calculations

Thank you both! I was quite aware of the 4:1 TAR requirements.
I'll start working on the guard-banding calculations today. Was hoping for a temperature accuracy cheat sheet like we used to use back in the day. Thus far, calculating it seems to be the only solution. Chris Burgess' article seems more concise than the documents I had previously, so will start with that. Thanks again!
