I am always confused as to why we not always prefer transistor-based circuits for micro-EDM. I am aware that where high MRR is required we use transistor-based circuits, thus RC is preferred for micro-EDM. But my doubt always arises that in Transistor circuits, we can control the amount of Ton & Toff which is not possible in RC circuits. But why it is difficult to get short Pulse Duration with constant Pulse Energy using transistor-based circuits, although we have full access to change the parameters by our own?
