as i m into mechanical engineering i dont have any previous knowledge on Control theory please recommend me some good books to start it from scratch and later master it

Modern Control Engineering by Katsuhiko Ogata is a good book for better understanding of Control engineering in advance levels. Control Systems and Engineering by Nagarath and Gopal is even more simpler. You could also search in youtube for 'NPTEL videos on Control system by Prof. N.Gopal' . 'Modern Control Engineering' by Katsuhiko Ogata is a very good book on control theories. It is widely used in Universities as a text book for control theory both in undergraduate and graduate level courses. As someone who has read almost every page of it, I find it well written and easy to follow. There is also some separate material for the exercises after each section to help understand. The book is suitable for a starter, but a little background in linear algebra would be helpful. The book focuses mostly on class control theory in time domain and frequency domain, and some on state space models. But as you said, you need a starter on the control theory so the book is a good choice, unless you need other theories like fuzzy logic and neural network. Xiaobing
