I am trying to see the different gas flow rate depending on different tubing size. But for some reason, I get exact same result even if I change the size of tubing. can anyone help me with this issue?
Because petrel simulate reservoir performance not well performance, you can see the effect of tubing size on flow rate when you simulate well lifting performance by Prosper program.
It is possible to perform comprehensive nodal analysis using PETREL. Although PETREL isn't a simulator, PETREL is a platform of the reservoir/well model. In other words, PETREL is platform of the model that is employed ECLIPSE for reservoir simulation and PIPESIM ( PIPESIM Steady-State Multiphase Flow Simulator) for nodal analysis as shown below.
Thank you for clarifying the applications of lifting performance was not available in the old versions of PETREL and its addition in new versions will save a lot of time and effort. I think the flow rate that estimated in the reservoir simulations using the PETREL (RE) linked with ECLIPSE represents the flow rate at sandface so, the changing tubing size will not change the flow rate.
