I am trying to quantify UV irradiation form different UV lamps buy using UV sensor.
The problem is the response curve of the sensor is different for different wavelength (as it is often the case) and so are the lamps. It seem that one will have to take into account both but what is the correct way to do this?

Checking the radiation of a given lamp over time is possible. The same applies to comparing lamps of the same category. For both comparisons there is no need to 'adjust' or correct the sensor's characteristics. But that's it.
Comparing lamps of different categories is not possible without further means (small bandwidth filters) - especially when the exact intensity curve of a lamp is not known.
In my opinion, you should have to take into account the value provided by the UV sensor.

As for the "exact intensity curve of a lamp is not known" in a way it is known... as we do have the spectra!
If you believe in the intensity curves, there is no need to measure anything at all. If you want to measure, the wideband sensor doesn't help.
Using some monochromator or small-bandwidth filter would allow to apply the inverse function of the sensor's sensitivity curve - resulting in "normalized" measurement values. Although you should be aware that this normalization works rather poor for the lower parts of the sensitivity curve (as the inverse function of 0 is infinity - no value to calculate with). An "overall inverse function" of the sensor sensitivity curve is not available in the mathematical sense, thus such operations are only possible for small-bandwidth measurements where the sensor's response is virtually constant.
