Quantification of interfacial rigidified polymer chain layer?

Is there any method to quantify the interfacial rigidified polymer chain layer in nanocomposite membranes? Can Tg values be used to estimate the volume fraction of the interfacial layer? How could the permeability through the layer be determined other than simply assuming it?
