I currently have some diffusion data for young children that we are trying to analyze. We are using FSL's eddy motion correction, but as we are looking at subcortical white matter pathways, we want to ensure we are using the best methods possible.
Is a quality check (QC) to the data after eddy correct necessary? I know that the newest version of FSL provides a high-quality motion correction.
If the QC is necessary, what is an acceptable method? Checking by hand? Are the metrics produced by the 'eddy_quad' command enough? Or should we consider re-processing with something like QSIprep?
Any advice or recommendations would be helpful! This is our first foray into analyzing kid data, and we are unsure of what the best practice might be in this case.
