Hello,

I am currently working on my master thesis on the topic of entrepreneurial finance. As part of my empirical research, I wish to follow 15 to 20 different start-ups that have received funding from Venture capititalists in SEED or SERIES A funding. I intend to conduct individual semi-structured interviews with the founders of each of those 15-20 start-ups.

GOAL OF MY STUDY : My goal is to find whether there are challenges start-ups in Industry A face that start-ups in Industry B do not face (regarding the valuation, incentive mechanisms and control mechanisms).

Fictive example : The methods of valuation for SaaS start-ups are not the same as the ones used by Life Sciences start-ups.

Simply put, I am doing a cross-industry analysis and I am trying to find whether there are diffences between industries or not regarding a few topics (Valuation, incentive mechanisms, control mechanisms, etc.)

MY QUESTION : I am wondering whether a Comparative Content Analysis is the best way for me to analyse the qualitative data I will gather or not.

I would gladly appreciate the help of the community on whether conducting a Comparative Content Analysis is a good idea or whether I should use another data processing method.

Sincerely,

Maxime
