when constructing the Q-z and T-z values in every unit (one meter ) we define a spring element in SAP2000. I apply Q-z at the tip springs of the pile and the T-z at the other springs. When modelling in SAP2000 what should the magnitude of the load? ( example of the value I am talking about is this >>> x=1 unit, y=1 unit, z=0.005 unit, ) How do I select this value? Are there any references? and how does it change with the change in diameter(if it is like this)?

* p - y curves proposed by Matlock (1970) for soft clay – American Petroleum Institute (API)
* p - y curves proposed by O’Neill & Murchison (1983) for sand – API
