Hello Everyone,
Can anyone please help me in understanding the PWM pulse pattern difference between VSI vs CSI.? Since input current cannot be zero how would the switch transition will take place..? If someone can share some experience (i.e. simple trapezoidal reference) with this types of converters.
Some examples are given in a book titled "High Power Drives" by Bin Wu. But it is not helping out. can someone shed some light on it..?

If the input is a "Current Source", then its current should not change significantly even if it is shorted momentarily. Thus, by by-passing the input dc current from the load through momentary short circuits in the inverter, the load current is made to have zero intervals.
