I have chosen this seed as my study for my Ph.D I have not found any human studies till now, It has a lot of beneficial effects. It can be compared to soya bean and researchers suggest that this seed can be made into various other forms like soya. I know they have been used for fodder.
Please do support me with some details of this seed. I would like to perform a study on this seed. I have only seen the seeds in picture. I had inquired a lot in India but no one seems to know about it exactly.

Lupins are mainly used in Australia, Chile and some European countries, e.g. Poland.
Lupins and other legumes are good sources of protein for different species. I have not seen studies on humans, but pig can be used as a model. There are several species of lupins, but most work has been done in L. angustifolius (mostly in Australia), L. albus and L. luteus. Some drawbacks are, the presence of antinutritional factors, plant disease (anthracnosis) and a high seed coat proportion (compared to other legumes), which lowers digestibility.

I am Australia's Lupin breeder so may be able to help you with information and seed if you need it. Australia produces about 90% of the world's supply of lupin. It is a high protein grain legume (30%) with very little starch and has been used to make most fermented foods that you can make with soybean. There are current medical studies underway which has shown that lupin is an excellent addition to the diet for diabetics, overweight people and has benefits in relation to regulation of cholesterol levels and for bowel health.
