When calculating the punching shear capacity using ACI of the interior columns with following dimensions in the attached photo for slab of thickness 200 mm (depth 180 mm) and fc'=30MPa, the column capacity change is small. It requires doubling column length to only increasing its capacity by 10%. As it is mentioned to take the minimum of the following stress capacity in the other attached photo, but the result does not make any sense.
Hi Khaled, I used the corresponding ACI equations for punching shear with your information and I get different values. I think you need to check your calculations because there should be a mistake somewhere. For instance, the punching shear equations that you are showing in the figures are for US units and it seems that you are trying to use it with metric values.
