We synthesize (manufacture) a physical product in a strongly systematic way - by realizing its deign. We synthesize a physical design process (and product design simultaneously) in a quite unsystematic way - by variant interpretation its variant model. Model-based product construction is unscceptable, model-based design process construction is the norm. Is there some oddity in the case?
