Hi.
I am trying to simulate a rapid load test in Plaxis to determine the load transfer mechanism. The load is inputted as a line load and the dynamic multiplier is defined as a table with 1 at the loading time of 0.1s and the rest is at 0.
The analysis result obtained shows that even after the pile do not experience any settlement and has achieved 0 m/s in velocity after 0.25s, the accleration still continues to fluctuate quite significantly, around +-60m/s2 till the end of the dynamic calculation (5s). In addition, I have noticed that there were calculations in which the load was reapplied at 0.2s eventhough the multiplier goes back to 0.
Am I applying the dynamic load wrongly?
Please help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

II feel dynamic load application may be wrong, it is better to redefine the dynamic load. I suggest you to see PLAXIS tutorial manual for sample exercise problem related to dynamic load. so i recommend you to learn for simulation of dynamic load application. Once you familiar with method of dynamic load applications then start your own problem. Ok all the best in your research..
