I think in this field principless are the same standards of size, weight, and production methods, ston setting, etc. Because they still need craftsmanship rather than theoretical bases....
Being a part of accessories, jewelry design styles partly has interwoven with the same styles seen in fashion apparel, not being separeted styles, so, fashion theories and fundamentals would applied to this context as well.
