(1) Do you think environmental problems are among the biggest concern of today's world that need to be address by all possible means?
(2) Do you think educating the children about environmental issues will be beneficial ?
(3) does the existing board's / school's/ college's curriculum (a)comprehensively & (b) effectively include the environmental studies ?
(4) do you think it is necessary to contextualize (link) all subjects with environmental issues ?
(4.1) if yes how (possible ways) it can be done ?
Paul: Here is my input:
(1) Do you think environmental problems are among the biggest concern of today's world that need to be address by all possible means? ANSWER: No, there are many problems that are more important (in my opinion) than the environment. I would suggest some of the world's problems include: world peace, poverty, violence, education, and government corruption.
(2) Do you think educating the children about environmental issues will be beneficial ? ANSWER: Yes, I think young children should be educated in school about the environment and basic ways to protect it.
(3) does the existing board's / school's/ college's curriculum (a)comprehensively & (b) effectively include the environmental studies ? ANSWER: Probably not, but there are an endless number of lessons that a college or university wants to teach their students. The environment is usually low on that list, as it should be. By the time a person reaches college age, they have had 12 years of grade school and high school to learn about the environment.
(4) do you think it is necessary to contextualize (link) all subjects with environmental issues ? ANSWER: Absolutely not. All subjects are not related to the environment.

However, we should have in mind that environment is not only the natural environment (ecology). It is also the man-made, the social, the cultural etc
So yes as a wide concept it is very important, has plenty of dimensions and can be approached by different subjects.
That is now studied within research on sustainable development.
