In my horticultural research for my Master thesis I have researched the effect of water stress on the growth of tomatoes.
I have 3 different treatments:
- drought stressed
- well-watered
- waterlogged
I have measured many parameters such as yield, biomass, lycopene content, etc. For every parameters I have done a one-way ANOVA to see if the parameter is significantly influenced by water stress treatment.
Now I need to find the right Post-Hoc test. Which one would you recommend and why? (I only want to compared means for each parameter seperatly, not find correlations between different parameters).
I asked two people and got different replies so far: Duncan/Tukey-HSD. So now Im confused!

Hai Ine, From your question I understood that u are going to compare among treatments. Ducan wnt perform in case of unequal replication and cannot control experimental error. In this case you can perform tukeys test.

Depend on your goal of research. Why you interested in water stress?
If your treatments have equal position, i prefer to Duncan.
For example, you want to know which one of 3 treatments is the best.
But, if one of your treatments want to be changed by another, you can choose tukey.
For example, you want to know which one of treatments, water stress or waterlogged is the best for tomato than control (well irrigated)?
