Hello, I am going to do PZC of some activated biochar/carbon. I thought of doing it by Potentiometric titration with varying pHs and using a salt like NaCl at 0.01M.
Now I am wondering: does the mass of the char influences the result? Because I am planning on putting 50mg char in 50 mL solution, but I am not sure why some people use 150mg or 100 or 50... Does it have an influence?

Practically mass does not have any influence. However, due to heterogeneous nature of biochar/carbon, It is advised to use higher amount of carbon/biochar while doing the characterization.
You can follow a protocol of our group have been using for many years. You just have to take a ratio of 1:20 (w/v) for all pH measurements.

The mass of the same nanoparticle size does not affect the zero charge point. Particle size affects, because the specific area of the particles changes, and hence the adsorption of ions.
