I got struck in getting started the simulation of WSN. Even if anyone provide the steps for OPNET, that also would be most welcomed one. Really tough to have hands on exp of basic wsn simulation.

Directly we can't use Open net codes in MATLAB but with cosim(cosimulation) we can use external code that written in C++..., otherwise you use api that can give system codes can run in system. depend on this code only you can improve the codes that used for the WSN.
Thank you for your answer sir. Maybe my question is not bit clear. What i want is how to crate a WSN simulation scenario in MATLAB/SIMULINK or opnet. For example in ns2, it is done by writing tcl script. If its then, what is the procedure to create a WSN scenario for MATLAB/SIMULINK and opnet?

Actually MATLAB is simple than any language. Still i have some doubts in your question for NS2 , what kind of communication protocol your using. Is it necessary for your project??
