There is enormous potential for generating data in agriculture but the major drawback is what, how and where to analyse those data? So i request all the readers to share some information (big or small doesn't really matter ) for the benefit of all.
You can specify the statistical program to analyze your results depending on the type of data you have available, there are many programs as mentioned above by Konstantinos B. Simoglou , Suganya K Seed ,and Kulvir Singh .
Ali Alhayanya sir thank you for your response. actually I have data pertaining to the morphological characters for few paddy varieties and i need to try and understand how one (Var.) is related to other and also create a Dendrogram.
All the stated soft wares are equally important. But, all of us, we ca not equally conversant with all of the softwares. So, first, start with the software type that you are comfortable. Second, decide the estimation type you want to do and you can ask some help as how to do that, using the alternative softwares. Finally, you can compare/ use the different results and compare with existing theories.
I think that this depends on what analysis are you planning to do..for example if you want to make descriptive analysis or other statical analysis you can use SPSS: social package for social sciences. Excell also is easy for descriptive analysis.
@ Nagendra gowda M. S R language package is availabe to all as freeware software. Ii is required coding skill as per R language and run to desired experiment. I strongly suggested to R but if you are doing simple statistical analysis then Microsoft Excel having lot of function to analyse the data.
