I am studying in first semester of my Masters degree in Anthropology. And i don't have much knowledge about it. So can anyone help me on recommend me a book related to ethnographic field work which contains ethnographic field work research methods clearly.
for example, participant observation, interview, survey, etc .
( It would be better if the book is more related to folklore ethnography fieldwork)
Robert Emerson, Rachel Fretz, and Linda Shaw: Writing Ethnographic Field Notes. The authors give a very good and easy explanation of ethnigraphic research, understanding and data analysis. It helped me a lot writing my PhD thesis.
Ethnographic Fieldwork: A Beginner's Guide Book by Dong Jie and Jan Blommaert.
Observers Observed: Essays on Ethnographic - Its an old one by George W. Stocking Jr, but i think its great book to overview Observations process.
Ethnographic Fieldwork: An Anthropological Reader - Antonius C. G. M. Robben (also Robben has really good books and essays about anthropology.
