Good day all, I am trying to dope iron in MgAl2O4 spinel using solution combustion method. Urea and citric acid are employed as fuels, but in all cases I am getting poor Fe dispersion where Fe appear to form clusters. Please what do I do to improve the dispersion. Thank you.
Please note that:
1- Solution combustion method will NOT produce Fe, it produces oxides.
2- Solution combustion method is NOT the suitable method for doping, it is used to disperse a material on the surface of another.
3- The concentration of the Fe in the solution is the key parameter that controls the loading percent.
@Imad Disher Thank you for your response. I am trying to disperse iron oxide in the matrix of the MgAl2O4 spinel... Few articles have reported to have successfully done that using solution combustion method upto 10% Fe loading. I am trying to insert just 6% into the lattice but its proving difficult as I am getting very poor dispersion of Fe.
